Egypt: Rare 12-metre long whale washes up on Alexandria beach

A rare 12-metre-long fin whale was found beached on the shore near the city of Alexandria on Sunday. The whale was discovered on the beach in the city's Roshdy district. The whale, which is seven or eight years of age, is believed to have been pushed by a storm from the Atlantic Ocean through the Strait of Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean Sea.
