The bodies of 20 Egyptian Christian Copts who were killed by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIL/ISIS) in Libya in 2015 arrived at the Cairo airport on Monday. The bodies, flown from the Libyan city of Misrata, were received by the head of the Coptic Church Pope Tawadros II, amid high security at the airport. The Coptic Christians had been beheaded in the former IS stronghold... Еще of Sirte. Their bodies were retrieved in October, after the area where they were buried was retaken from the militants. The bodies are expected to be flown for burial in Egypt's Minya province.
