The Index rose to a 9-month high in August. The closely watched preliminary estimate of UK third quarter GDP follows at half past 8. The second quarter data actually surprised on the upside, but this... Еще release is expected to show a slowdown. Two highly anticipated news releases regarding the US economy are out at 12:30 PM GMT, including the Preliminary Durable Goods Orders for September. The number of orders saw little change in August, prompting suggestions it may weigh on third quarter GDP growth. The weekly Jobless Claims update comes at the same time. Initial claims went up by 13 thousand during the week ending October 15, whereas the initial claims grew by 7 thousand during the week ending October 7. US Pending Home Sales for September will be available at 2. Sales saw an unexpected drop in August, reversing a 1.2% gain the previous month. Coming up next at 11:30 in the evening is the closely watched Japanese CPI for September. The annual CPI inched even lower in August and, in fact, it has stood below zero for the past six months. Japanese Jobless Rate for September is out at the same time. The rate gained point 1 percentage point in August but it remains at a very low level. And Australian third quarter Producer Price Index will be released at half past midnight.
