The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) sent six-tonnes of medical supplies to Shanghai from its global hub in Copenhagen on Wednesday, in an attempt to help contain coronavirus.
The shipment contains protective suits for Chinese medics working at the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak as well as respiratory masks which are continually selling out.
UNICEF hub workers moved packages in the... Еще warehouse using a forklift truck before loading the cargo onto a Thai Airways plane.
The new strain of coronavirus has spread from China to other countries, including the US, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Nepal, France and Germany. Cases were also reported in Taiwan, Canada, Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam.
The total number of cases confirmed by China stands at almost 6,000, with 132 thought to have died from the disease.
The World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and other agencies are collaborating with Chinese authorities to prevent the outbreak from spreading.
