Death is more at Tokyo’s Life Ending Industry EXPO 2017

Visitors of the Life Ending Industry EXPO 2017 had an opportunity to see a robotic Buddhist priest celebrating a mass at the Tokyo Big Sight in the Japanese capital, Friday. Multinational telecommunications corporation SoftBank Group showcased its latest invention, a humanoid robot 'Pepper', which wears a Buddhist robe, taps a drum and chants sutras in a computerised voice. During the exposition the visitors are also able to participate in activities such as masterclasses given by funeral experts. The Life Ending Industry EXPO 2017 is a three-day-event that puts on display cemetery and temple products, as well as burial and memorial services.
