Hundreds of people took to the streets of Prague on Friday to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the start of Velvet revolution. In commemoration, dozens of different events were held in the country's capital, including both pro- and anti-government demonstrations. Protests were held by feminist organisations calling for equal rights for women and railing against sexist violence and abuse... Еще. In a different gathering, demonstrators hit out at the Czech president Milos Zeman over the business dealings of the current finance Minister Andrej Babis. The 1989 Velvet Revolution saw peaceful protests end in a transition of power in the former Czechoslovakia, eventually leading to the end of Communist rule.
