Czech Republic: Hundreds rally in Prague against PM Babis' handling of COVID crisis

Hundreds rallied in Prague's Old Town Square on Tuesday to protest Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis' handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Protesters were seen standing in the square with a large Czech flag, while observing social distancing. «Our Prime Minister Babis spends public money to support his friends' businesses, his own business, his Agrofert business. And this is not a good way. During the last crisis, he spent 10 billion crowns to send to China instead of supporting the Czech industry. He actually ignored everything that we produce here,» said a protester. Similar protesters were held across the country, reportedly in 167 other locations, with demonstrators deploring insufficient help for the economy amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
