US speedboat pilots Nigel Hook and Jay Johnson set what they believe to be a new world record, covering the distance from the US island city of Key West to Cuba's Havana in one hour, 18 minutes and three seconds, Thursday.
«Man, it was fantastic! The feelings, the emotions, I can't explain, it's just incredible!» said powerboat pilot Nigel Hook.
The US duo broke the previous record set by German pilot Roger Kluh in August, who covered the same distance in one hour and 45 minutes.
The two pilots are seeking a Guinness World Record recognition for the feat.
