Cuba: Irma pounds Havana as fierce hurricane conquers landmark seawall

Wind surged and rain doused through Havana's landmark Malecon seawall, Saturday, as Hurricane Irma swept across the Cuban capital causing widespread flooding. The 8km (5mile) stretch of coast was hit with waves up to 8 metres (26 feet) high. Last minute evacuations of up to 10,000 residents in central Havana were organised in the capital.
