Michael Kolberg, a music teacher in the Drensteinfurt town of the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany has taken to the windows of his music school to serenade his quarantined neighbours as footage shot on Friday shows.
«I had a certain feeling that I could help my neighbours and the people passing by. I had a lot of good feedback the people keep telling me that they thought it was great and... Еще it's certainly necessary to do everything that we can. I personally think that music is good for the mood,» explained Michael who got his idea after seeing the people in Italy coming together to play music during the quarantine.
With over 6,300 confirmed cases, North Rhine-Westphalia is the state with the most infections in Germany. This has altered the social life of people like Michael Kolberg drastically.
«The virus has completely changed my life. Before I had lessons with children where I would teach them and prepare them for concerts, and now I live day by day not knowing what the future has installed for me,» He said.
Germany is currently the 5th most affected country by the pandemic with 19,848 cases of infected and 67 deaths confirmed.
