The Bavarian police force presented items produced from their old uniforms at a press event in Nuremberg on Wednesday.
In the summer of 2018, Bavaria adopted new uniforms and decided to upcycle the old ones into bags, backpacks and other items to reduce waste, at the suggestion the police union.
The items can be bought online at 110-shop.de
«Anyone who has always wanted the Bavarian police to... Еще do the laundry, and also wanted to do something good, has plenty of options here,» joked Joachim Herrmann, Minister of Interior of Bavaria.
The 'Barmherzige Bruder gemeinnutzige Behindertenhilfe' (BBBH) cooperated with the process and produced the recycled items.
BBBH works with people with disabilities and a part of the income generate by the sale will go to the Bavarian Police Foundation.
