Colombia: Venezuela is a state of terror says former prosecutor

Dismissed Venezuelan Chief Prosecutor Luisa Ortega has blasted Venezuela as a “state of terror” during a speech at Bogota’s Universidad del Rosario on Tuesday. Ortega, who has taken up residence in Bogota since her dismissal, called on Venezuelans to exercise their constitutional right and vote. The former chief prosecutor lamented the fate of Venezuelan refugees in Colombia, now numbering... Еще over 350,000, describing a renowned Venezuelan doctor selling Arepas (corn cakes) in Bogota. Ortega was dismissed by the newly elected assembly in August for alleged corruption. The assembly itself was put in place as part of reforms by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, which the opposition criticised as a power grab.
