Half of the costs of the facility will be covered by the mayor’s office of Barranquilla, while the other half will be paid for by Shakira’s charitable foundation, Pies Descalzos. The FC Barcelona Foundation also participated in the initiative, and mad a donation towards Pies Descalzos for the project.
