Colombia: Protesters walk to Bogota from Cauca region for anti-govt. protest

Hundreds of protesters walked through Bogota on Friday to convey their demands to Colombian President Ivan Duque.
The activists marched through the Colombian capital waving flags and holding banners, and most of them wearing face masks due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In the words of a spokesman for the Cauca Regional Indigenous Council, «it is not the pandemic that is killing us, it is the war and the strategy being carried out by the national government.»
The march, which began more than two weeks ago in the Cauca region, is a peaceful protest to draw attention to the violence suffered by the social leaders of indigenous communities.
