Colombia: Police confront protesters decrying police brutality in Bogota

Police deployed tear gas on the streets of Bogota on Sunday, as protesters continued to decry police brutality in the country for the fifth day in a row. Hundreds of protesters were seen chanting and confronting police officers in the streets of the Colombian capital as they brought out a coffin to symbolise the 14 protesters killed during the ongoing social unrest. Police officers were seen firing tear gas at the protesters, who replied with rocks and other projectiles before fleeing the area. The killing of lawyer Javier Ordonez by police on Tuesday in Engativa, Bogota, has unleashed a wave of protests and riots nationwide.
