Colombia: Indigenous people arrive in Bogota to present demands to President Duque

Thousands of indigenous people arrived in Bogota on Sunday to present their demands to President Ivan Duque after the failure of last Tuesday's meeting with government representatives in Cali. The indigenous people arrived at the Colombian capital on buses and trucks in order to meet with Duque within the framework of the indigenous ‘minga,’ a series of actions throughout the country to protest for indigenous peace and democracy. The indigenous people mobilised to protest against the violence that affects them, the murder of social leaders and land deprivation.
