The big majorities want that, and I'm sure they will express themselves today.» Former leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) Rodrigo 'Timochenko' Londono cast his vote for the Colombian presidential election in Bogota on Sunday, calling the process «very moving.» «We are living a very special moment. I think everybody is invited to exercise this right and do of this day a day of reconciliation among all Colombians,» Londono told reporters. FARC has transformed into a political party in 2017 under the name Revolutionary Alternative Common Force, retaining its initials. Londono had initially been the FARC presidential candidate before being withdrawn due to health reasons. As part of the peace deal in which ended the 52-year civil war in 2016, the new political outfit will be guaranteed five seats in both houses of Congress until 2026.
