FARC leader Ivan Marquez criticises the Public Prosecutor’s order to detain former FARC commander Jesus Santrich under drug trafficking accusations in Bogota on Tuesday. Interpol issued an order after a New York Federal Court requested Santrich’s capture. The magistrates accused Santrich of conspiring with three other people to send 10 tons (10,000 kg) of cocaine to the US, valued at around 320... Еще million USD (259 million EUR). The court says it has audio and video proof of Santrich’s involvement in the drug trafficking. Marquez and the other FARC leadership commented that for them the whole situation is a set up, and that the peace process has been endangered by the detention. Marquez asked for an urgent meeting with President Juan Manuel Santos and for him to take the matter in his own hands to continue the peace process.
