Some businesses reopened in Bogota on Monday as the government began easing the coronavirus restrictions to reactivate the economy.
Residents were seen walking in the streets, exercising and visiting shops with some businesses requiring temperature checks. Footage also shows resumed construction works in a residential complex.
«Our sector is privileged. Commercial sectors are the first to open... Еще,» said Carlos Alberto Huertas, an owner of a bicycle shop. «It is a relief for us to be able to [work again],» he added.
Colombia's minister of commerce said on Friday that the easing of the restrictions is expected to reactivate nearly 70 percent of the economy.
