Chinese tech giant Xiaomi unveiled its newest flagship smartphone, the Mi 8, during a product launch event in Shenzhen on Thursday. The Xiaomi 8 comes in three different models. The Mi 8 has 20 megapixels and a dual camera setup, and costs over ¥2699 (€343; $400). The Mi 8 Explorer Edition, with a price of ¥3,699 (€495; $577), is very similar to the Mi 8, but comes with a transparent glass back... Еще, a pressure-sensitive in-display fingerprint scanner, and 3D face unlock technology. Finally, the Mi 8 SE has a 5.88-inch (15cm) screen and Snapdragon 710 processor, and will retail for ¥1799 (€240; $280). It is cheaper and smaller than the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition, which boasts a 6.21-inch screen and Snapdragon 845 processor. Xiaomi skipped the Mi 7 branding and went directly for the Mi 8, to mark the company’s 8th anniversary.
