Students started flocking back in staggered time slots to their university campus in Wuhan, after a coronavirus-induced hiatus that lasted about seven months.
Students were seen queuing with their luggage to have their health QR scanned, body temperature checked, and their belongings sanitised before entering the campus, on Saturday and Sunday.
«I am happy to go back to campus and study with classmates,» said Ouyang, a student at Changjiang Professional College, who said he prefers that over studying online by himself.
Authorities have implemented a series of prevention measures against the COVID-19 epidemic.
According to the new measures, teachers and students are encouraged to remain at the campus except where strictly necessary to leave.
Additionally, an appointment is needed for visitors to enter the campus.
