China is aiming to assume greater responsibility in world affairs, said the Spokesperson for the 19th National Congress, Tuo Zhen, during a press conference at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday, ahead of the once every-five-years meeting of the Communist Party of China. «China would like to take greater responsibility and play a bigger role to maintain the world peace, promote... Еще global growth and safeguard the legitimate rights of developing countries,» said Zhen, during a speech dominated by the plans of the Party for the next five years. Political reform, Economic opening-up, globalisation and anti-graft campaign are the main items in the agenda for this year’s National Congress, but also a new significant move came ahead of the congress: the amendment of the Chinese constitution. The 19th edition of the National Congress of the CPC is set to begin in Beijing on October 18th, and will run for seven days. The congress is expected to confirm a second five-year term for Xi Jinping, who has been in front of the governing body since 2012.
