China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi wants to develop strategic partnerships with Arab states, in comments at the 8th Ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF). «The trend that China is expanding its opening up perfectly matches with the process that Arab states are speeding up their industrialisation and economic diversity. We should work together to build the win-win... Еще situation,» he said. Wang also stressed the importance of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) designed to strengthen co-operation between Eurasian countries. The policy has been dubbed the 21st century Silk Road, by land and sea. Concerning the Middle East issues, Wang noted that China would like to co-operate with Arab states «to strengthen the Middle East, to promote its stability and to participate in its development.» Representatives from China and Arab States, including the Secretary General of the Arab League, have been meeting in Beijing to discuss economic and security concerns, as well as the BRI.
