The rest of the world is supposed to feel relieved.» Following a round of US-China talks in Washington on Friday, the two countries agreed to reduce the US trade deficit with China, with US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin adding that the 'trade war' between two countries is put 'on hold'. Last March, US President Donald Trump signed an order that would pave the way for imposing tariffs on China for 'stealing American technology.' Financial markets consequently dropped amid speculations of a growing commercial conflict between China, and the US and the possibility that China will impose retaliatory tariffs on US products.
