China: Beijing calls for international trade coordination amid COVID-19 crisis

China's Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen called for an international coordination on economic and trade policies amid the coronavirus pandemic. The comments were made during a press conference held in Beijing on Monday. «Amid the global pandemic, we think we need to work together to keep openness, safety and ensure a steady global industrial chain. It serves the interests of all parties. We... Еще also stand against unilateralism and protectionism. We should keep the market open and support the industry and supply chain,» said Wang Shouwen. China also praised the World Trade Organization's (WTO) efforts in upholding policies against unilateralism and protectionism amid COVID-19. «We should maintain regular international logistics for a open and smooth trade chain, industrial and supply chain within countries,» concluded the vice commerce minister.
