Hundreds of people joined the funeral procession of Chilean teenager Ambar Cornejo in Villa Alemana on Wednesday.
The mortal remains of the young woman were taken to the Parque del Sendero Cemetery, where the funeral will take place. The hearse was then escorted by police.
Several balloons were in memory of the girl.
The remains of Cornejo were reportedly discovered in the house of teenager's mother, which she shared with Cornejo's stepfather. Bustamante had been charged with double murder of his previous partner and her nine-year-old son in 2005 and was later released on parole.
Bustamante was convicted of brutally murdering his previous partner and son, and hiding their bodies in metal drums. He had reportedly served 11 years of his 27-year sentence before being released on parole.
Bustamante and Cornejo's mother are now both in custody.
Cornejo's mother has accused Bustamante of the crime, and the state prosecutor charged Bustamante with aggravated murder. Bustamente is currently in prison waiting for trial, according to local reports.
