An estimated two million people watched the Toronto Raptors victory parade on Monday.
The crowd was warmed up with marching bands and a float featuring a giant version of the team's mascot scoring a basket.
An open-top bus carried the team through the packed streets of the city, with players holding aloft the Larry O'Brien Trophy, NBA's most prestigious title.
Some construction workers even... Еще paused their work to watch the procession from scaffolding in downtown Toronto.
Even Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the parade.
The joyous atmosphere would later be cut short, when gunshots were fired at the parade's final destination, Nathan Phillips Square.
Four people were injured in the incident, which caused a stampede amongst the panicked crowd. Police have since arrested three suspects in an ongoing investigation.
The Toronto Raptors became the first ever Canadian team to win the NBA Finals last Thursday.
