Bulgaria: Far-right nationalists march against communism in Sofia

Dozens of far-right nationalists marched through downtown Sofia on Sunday, to condemn communism on September 9, the date remembered as the beginning of communism in Bulgaria. Men with t-shirts depicting the Nazi salute 'Sieg Heil' and members of the far-right group 'National Resistance' marched towards the Memorial monument for the victims of communism with banners and flags. During the People's Uprising of September 9 in 1944, Bulgarian army units with the aid of the Fatherland Front, overthrew the Prime Minister Konstantin Muraviev, marking the beginning of the communist era in Bulgaria.
