Brazil: Polls open in Rio for 2018 general election

Long queues were seen forming outside polling stations in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, as Brazilians cast their vote in the first round of the 2018 general election . According to latest polls, right-wing frontrunner Jair Bolsonaro is projected to get 36.7 percent of the vote, while Fernando Haddad of the Workers Party is expected to hold second place with 24 percent.
