Coronavirus could not stop fans of Palmeiras as they took to the streets of Sao Paulo on Saturday to celebrate as their team claimed the Sao Paulo state championship for the first time since 2008.
The victory came as Brazil became the second country in the world after the US to top 3 million coronavirus cases and 100,000 related deaths.
Fans, however, had deemed the moment significant enough to break their quarantine and celebrate on the streets.
«COVID won’t catch us, we are just too crazy you know,» said a fan.
«Quarantine continues. We are breaking it just for today,» another added.
The victory came after a 4-3 penalty shootout victory over Corinthians.
