Opponents of presidential election frontrunner Jair Bolsonaro campaigned outside Rio de Janeiro's Theatro Municipal on Tuesday. The group sang songs and chanted against the far-right candidate before releasing an array of colourful balloons. In a speech to the crowd, one protester warned of the inherent dangers in Bolsonaro's leadership. «It was a big struggle to fight against the military... Еще regime. [...] we want the continuity of a democratic form of government.» The second round of the election will take place on 28 October, with Bolsonaro facing the candidate for Brazil's leftist Workers' Party (PT) Fernando Haddad.
