Delivery workers rallied for better working conditions in Sao Paulo on Saturday, in what was the second strike promoted by the group this month.
Drivers called for higher salaries, better safety measures against COVID-19, a unified minimum price in all delivery apps and accident insurance, among other demands.
«It's a really important issue, because the pandemic unveils that we are the ones on the streets every day, delivering everybody's orders, we think our lives matter much more than the companies' profits,» said delivery worker Renato Assadi.
According to local reports, the protest was smaller than expected and exposed a political split between different groups within the movement, as seen in the footage. Some drivers preferred not to join the movement physically, but stayed offline in the apps.
