More than 100,000 people queued to watch the Brazil's 42nd president Jair Bolsonaro take the oath of office on Tuesday.
Crowds filled the length of Explanada de los Ministerios, an avenue where the majority of government buildings are located.
Bolsonaro and his vice-president Hamilton Mourao were officially sworn-in at the National Congress in front of thousands of supporters.

Official sources said around 115,000 people attended, far fewer than the half a million the authorities were expecting.
Bolsonaro, a former army captain, was elected president of Brazil at the end of October, defeating opponent Fernando Haddad of the Workers' Party.
