Bosnia and Herzegovina: Military parade marks Day of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka

A large parade of the armed forces of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, marked the anniversary of the entity's formation, on Wednesday. The parade is the culmination of dozens of ceremonies and events across the cities of Republika Srpska, celebrating its conception on January 9, 1992. A host of prominent politicians and personalities attended the show, among them Serbian Member of the Presidency... Еще of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Serbian Patriarch Irinej. The parade saw the participation of dozens of special forces, police officers, presidential guards and forces dressed as Serbian soldiers of the First World War, as well as numerous vehicles. Addressing the attendees at a solemn ceremony after the parade, Dodik said, «Bosnia and Herzegovina is not our desire — it is our compulsion. We are there [i.e. a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina] due to the coercion by the international negotiating process.»
