Belgium: Trump, Macron hold bilateral meeting at NATO summit

Donald Trump, President of the United States of America: «It sounded beautifully, I have no idea. It sounded great.» SOT, Emmanuel Macron, President of France: «I told them exactly the same, in France, for French journalists. I just reminded everybody that almost one year ago you were present with your wife and in Paris for Bastille Day it was the 13th and 14th of July, and we've worked together... Еще for, yes, 12 months now, and took some great decisions, and will continue to work together on the separate issues.» US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Brussels on Wednesday. In a photo opportunity with the press, both leaders spoke highly of their working relationship. «We have a tremendous relationship, we're discussing trade, we're discussing NATO, we're discussing a lot of different things, and hopefully in the end it will all work out,» Trump said. Macron added: «we've worked together for, yes, 12 months now, and took some great decisions, and will continue to work together on the separate issues.» Chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the summit is set to discuss the most urgent issues for its members concerning international security and military affairs. Transatlantic trade agreements as well as the US withdrawal from both the global climate pact and Iran nuclear deal are on the summit’s agenda, as are defence spending contributions.
