Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Moscow is ready to prolong its gas transit agreement with Kiev or to sign a temporary deal to avoid disruptions in gas supply to Europe. He was speaking in Brussels on Thursday after trilateral gas talks between Russia, the European Union and Ukraine.
Novak said Russia would be able to extend or sign an additional agreement with Ukraine in case Kiev's... Еще new independent certified gas transit regulator would not be ready by January 2020.
The energy minister added that Moscow is ready for the new contract to be based on European legal system.
Speaking about a contractual dispute between Russia's Gazprom and Ukraine's Naftogaz Group over assets in Crimea, Novak said Moscow insists on «reducing reciprocal claims to nothing.»
The trilateral gas consultations will resume next month.
