The first half of the Round of 16 game went by without any goals, only for Japan to open up the second half with a 2:0 lead over Belgium, with Genki Haraguchi and Takashi Inui each scoring within the first seven minutes. Jan Vertongen scored Belgium's first goal with a header... Еще and Belgium began their comeback, with Marouane Fellaini scoring their second at the 74 minute mark. In the final seconds of play, Nacer Chadli scored on a brilliant counter strike to clinch victory for the Belgians. Now victorious, Belgium are set to perform a showdown with Brazil in the Quarter-Finals in Kazan on July 6.
