European Council President Donald Tusk said that UK Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal was «not open for renegotiation,» during a joint press conference with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at the European Council in Brussels on Thursday.
«In terms of the future relationship, our British friends need to say what they want, instead of asking us to say what we want... Еще,» Juncker said. «We would like our British friends to, within a few weeks, set out their expectations for us, because this debate is sometimes nebulous and imprecise and I would like concrete clarifications on this point.»
UK Prime Minister Theresa May was forced to delay a vote on her withdrawal agreement on Monday and seek a renegotiation with Brussels. Angry members of parliament from her own Conservative Party failed to unseat her in a vote of no-confidence.
Heads of state and government are meeting in Brussels on December 13 and 14 for a European Council summit.
The leaders are expected to discuss the EU's long-term budget, the single market, migration, external relations and Brexit.
