High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini insisted that the Iranian nuclear deal will stay in place and that no single country is capable of terminating it, when speaking from a press conference in Brussels on Friday.
Mogherini spoke in response to US President Donald Trump’s latest claims that the White House will refuse to certify Iran... Еще’s compliance with the nuclear agreement and will also call for new sanctions on the country.
“The joint comprehensive plan of actions is not a bilateral agreement, it does not belong to any single country, and it's not up to single country to terminate it”, Mogherini stated before stating that, “We can't afford as international community, as Europe for sure, to dismantle a nuclear agreement that is working and delivering, especially now.»
Mogherini explained that Iran has been complying with all the terms of the deal and stressed that there have been ��\x9Cno violations of any of the commitments included in the agreement.»
US President Donald Trump refused to certify that Iran is complying with the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] nuclear deal in a speech delivered at the White House, Washington D.C. on Saturday. The US President said that the deal will be referred to Congress for consultation.
