A UK minister attended a European Union (EU) meeting for the final time before the Brexit departure date on January 31.
Foreign Office Minister Chris Pincher said it was a «historic week» upon his arrival in Brussels on Tuesday.
«I'm here to reassert to my EU friends and colleagues that, though we are leaving the EU, we are not leaving Europe,» he added.
«We'll always be allies, partners and... Еще friends.»
The United Kingdom is set to leave the European Union at 23:00 on January 31, before entering a transition period which is due to end on 31 December 2020, during which time the two sides will negotiate the future relationship.
