Flooding caused by heavy rainfall in different parts of Bangladesh continued on Wednesday, leaving well over one million people affected.
A residential area of the Jamalpur district is seen partially flooded following the inundation.
Currently, it is reported that at least 1.5 million people are affected as rivers threaten to burst their banks and a third of the country is already submerged under water. Several people drowned in the floodwaters over the past two days according to reports.
Local observatories report that flooding is expected to increase in the upcoming 24 hours in various regions including Jamalpur.
