Baku streets completely filled with cars beeping could be seen beginning on the early hours of Tuesday and throughout the day.
People holding flags as cars passed could also be seen, as the Baku residents were seemingly jubilant, following the announcement of the war ending.
Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a Russian-brokered agreement to cease fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh starting from 01:00 local time (21:00 GMT) on November 9.
Under the terms of the peace deal, Azerbaijan obtains control of the territory it has taken in the most recent fighting, with Armenia giving up further areas in the coming month. The agreement also sees around 2,000 Russian peacekeepers deployed to the region to guard a road connecting the rest of Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia.
