Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz appeared for questioning at a hearing before the committee of inquiry into the Ibiza affair and his former vice-chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache in Vienna on Wednesday.
Austria's former leader of the far-right Freedom Party of Austria (FPO), who used to work as vice-chancellor in Kurz's cabinet, resigned all his political posts and retired from politics in October 2019.
That happened after video footage emerged of him offering to fix government contracts in exchange for positive press coverage from a woman purporting to be the niece of a Russian oligarch.
The committee of inquiry started its work on June 4. Strache already denied all accusations.
