Members of the Iran nuclear deal's joint commission arrived for an extraordinary meeting in Vienna on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by representatives from China, France, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom and Iran, the remaining signatories of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), otherwise known as the Iran nuclear deal, who will «examine issues linked to the implementation of the... Еще JCPOA in all its aspects,» according to an EU statement.
However, the meeting, called by Germany, France and the UK, comes in the wake of an International Atomic Energy Agency report saying Iran was not complying with the deal's terms.
Tensions in the region have escalated since Iran announced in May that it would partially withdraw from the JCPOA.
The United States are involved in a standoff with Tehran over nuclear enrichment, while Iranian forces have captured a British-flagged tanker in the Strait of Hormuz in response to the UK capturing an Iranian tanker near Gibraltar.
