Austria: An 'efficient and united' Europe — Vienna takes on EU presidency

Austrian Prime Minister Sebastian Kurz will seek to achieve an «efficient and united» Europe, as Vienna took over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union from Bulgaria in Schladming on Saturday. Standing alongside Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and EU Council President Donald Tusk, Kurz said the focus will be security, noting «we will build the bridges to reduce the... Еще tensions inside the Union.» As a token of goodwill, Kurz was handed a mini-European flag by his predecessor Borissov. Austria's presidency starts officially on July 1 and will last for six months.
