Tens of thousands of sheep were loaded onto the Al Kuwait livestock carrier in the Australian port of Fremantle on Tuesday. The animals will be exported to Kuweit after activists failed to stop the delivery.
Australia's Federal Court ruled that the ship could leave Fremantle on Wednesday.
At least three animal rights activists gathered near the port holding a sign reading «ban live export.»
The sheep were initially scheduled to be exported more than a month ago aboard the Al Kuwait, but those plans were cancelled after crew members tested positive for coronavirus.
