Еще efforts to curb the spread of the virus, they also felt that people were eager to see restrictions lifted. «Right now, I think we need to lift [the lockdown] because it's been too long, and it's hard to survive just on your savings,» said Gourav Gandhi, a Sydney resident originally from India. «We could hold off for a little bit, I think. I think you know, it's, a little bit slower would probably be better, but I do understand the economic impact, and I understand that a lot of people really came to get their jobs and the economy moving again,» offered Jo Rumble, another local. The premier of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian, has stated there will be no easing of her state's current restrictions, in spite of a slowdown of infections in what was Australia's worst-hit province during the height of the pandemic.
