A gunman killed four men and injured a woman after opening fire in five different locations in the northern Australian city of Darwin on Tuesday.
The first calls to police about shots fired were at 5.50pm local time (08:20 GMT). According to witnesses, the suspect was armed with a pump-action shotgun as he made his way through the city to multiple locations, including a hotel.
Police said the... Еще suspect had been released from prison on parole in January and had been wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet at the time of the attacks. He has now been taken into custody.
In a post on Twitter, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison ruled out a terror-related motive for the shootings and expressed his condolences to the victims and their families.
