Australian firefighters were jumping for joy as torrential rain helped to extinguish bushfires ravaging the mid-north coast of New South Wales, as seen in footage posted by the Leongatha Fire Brigade on Monday in Rolland Plains near Port Macquarie.
The volunteer crew can be seen dancing in the rain with locals. The firefighters from Leongatha, near Melbourne, travelled all the way to NSW to help... Еще battle the blaze. They were welcomed by thankful locals who helped by cooking meals for the crew and displaced residents.
Among the worst in Australian history, the bushfires have burned over 1,600,000 hectares (4,000,000 acres) since September, destroying 663 homes so far, spreading dangerously close to the suburbs of Sydney.
