Armenia: Opposition’s Pashinian meets with PM Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan

Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan met with opposition legislator and protest leader Nikol Pashinian in Yerevan, Sunday. Prior to the meeting Pashinian, who heads ongoing protests calling for Sargsyan's resignation, said he wanted to «meet Serzh Sargsyan to discuss the conditions of his resignation and of a handover of power without any upheaval.» Sargsyan has said Armenia needs him at... Protests in the Armenian capital began on April 13, shortly after the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominated former President Serzh Sargsyan for the prime minister's post.
